How to use Country Wheel

Use the starter selection or paste the complete set you want to study. This starter list is illustrative, not exhaustive.

  1. Choose the set you want to study: the starter examples, a region, or your own complete list.
  2. Clear the samples before pasting a replacement list.
  3. Spin to select a country, then locate it on a map or research a question about it.
  4. Remove each winner if every country should be covered once.

Give it a try

Choose a country to research, locate on a map, or discuss in class.

Example: a geography research round

The starter list contains Canada, Japan, Brazil, Kenya, Italy, Australia, Pakistan, and Mexico. Each of those eight entries has one chance out of eight; countries outside the list cannot be selected. Ask participants to find the chosen country on a map, identify its capital, or describe a geographic feature using their learning materials. Review the answer separately—the wheel only supplies a topic.

Choose the coverage deliberately

For a region-focused lesson, paste the countries your course includes. For worldwide coverage, supply the complete list you intend to use and check naming conventions before drawing. This page does not claim that its eight examples represent every country, and it does not choose uniformly among countries absent from the list. If using it for travel inspiration, separately check the practical requirements for the selected destination.

Useful to know

Does the starter list include every country?

No. It contains eight examples. Paste your own complete study list if you need broader coverage.

Each entry is equally likely. See how random selection works.
