How to use Wheel of Names

Replace the sample names with one person per entry. Add the same person twice only if you intend to give them two chances.

  1. Clear the sample entries, then open Bulk paste and add one participant per line.
  2. Check the list for accidental duplicates. Give people with the same name a distinguishing initial.
  3. Choose whether names stay in the wheel or enable Remove winner in Settings.
  4. Spin, read the selected name, and save the list locally if you need it again.

Give it a try

Choose a presenter, select the next player, or decide who goes first.

Example: choose a presentation order

Add Alex, Sam, Jordan, Taylor, Morgan, and Jamie once each. At the start, each entry has a 1-in-6 chance. With Remove winner enabled, the next draw uses five entries. Continue until everyone has a turn. With removal disabled, all six remain eligible and the same person can be selected again; a previous win does not make them less likely on the next spin.

Animated names, instant picks, or whole teams?

This page is for drawing one name with a visible spin. Use Random Name Picker when you want an immediate result without animation. Use Team Generator when every person needs a group in one operation. Student Picker starts with winner removal enabled for classroom rotation. The result history records labels selected during this session; it is not an independently certified draw record.

Useful to know

Can I pick several names?

Spin again after each result. Turn on Remove winner to avoid selecting the same entry twice.

Do duplicate names count twice?

Yes. Each entry has one equal chance, including entries with identical text.

Each entry is equally likely. See how random selection works.
