How to use Food Wheel
Edit the food choices to match what is available, then spin. Save a favorite meal list for later.
- Choose whether this list represents meals, cuisines, or specific restaurants.
- Remove options that are unavailable or unsuitable for the group.
- Add one comparable choice per entry, then spin.
- Save the shortlist locally and review availability before reusing it.
Give it a try
Pick lunch with coworkers or decide tonight’s dinner.
Example: settle a shared lunch choice
For lunch near work, list four restaurants that are open and within budget. Each has a 1-in-4 chance. Avoid mixing ‘pizza,’ ‘Italian restaurant,’ and the name of the same pizza shop as three supposedly different choices: they can favor the same meal. A separate dinner wheel might instead contain recipes you can cook with ingredients already at home.
Make the list useful before the draw
The tool does not check menus, opening hours, prices, allergies, or dietary suitability. It selects the label you enter. Keep the shortlist current rather than rerolling whenever an unsuitable meal wins. Duplicate entries increase that meal's chance, so check for repeated names if equal meal-level chances matter. For decisions about activities rather than food, use Decision Wheel.
Useful to know
Does it check allergies?
No. You control the list. Include only foods suitable for everyone taking part.
Each entry is equally likely. See how random selection works.
